Mud and Handcuffs: The Movie

Let's set the scene. It's late one Saturday night and, per usual, I don't have plans. What I do have is Netflix. So I'm scrolling along, looking for something to occupy the next hour and a half and this is what I find.
Although it boasts a very predictable, rom-com plot, I was genuinely captivated by You Instead (Tonight You're Mine in the American release). It has a diverse cast of all equally hilarious characters, each with their own adventure to stumble along over the course of 24 hours, centering around Adam (Treadaway) and Morello (Tena) who have been handcuffed together. Treadaway and Tena give both comedic and truthful performances, making it nearly impossible not to root for the duo. And Matthew Bayton plays the awkward best friend to perfection.
Filmed entirely at Scotland's T in the Park music festival, music plays a major role in the movie, with various performances from the festival woven seamlessly into the film. Any extras are simply festival goers, adding to the feel of the film. Despite having such tight filming constraints (They filmed the entire feature in only 5 days), the cinematography is gorgeous. Sure it's not a big thinker, but this movie is definitely a fun watch. Next time you've got 80 minutes and nothing to do, go check it out.
